All about M0YOM
So you have arrived here wanting to know a bit more about M0YOM? My name is James, nice to meet you and welcome to my site.
I live in North Warwickshire just to the east of Birmingham in the UK. I first learnt to computer programming at the age of 6 and became interested in radio and electronics around age 10 so I consider myself a lifelong geek.
I hold a full amateur radio licence (Advanced) from Ofcom in the UK and hold the amateur radio callsigns M3YOM, 2E0YOM & M0YOM. My main interest is in HF Radio Contesting and the Homebrew scene, however I can sometimes be found on the VHF/UHF bands. I am also a frequent WiFi experimenter which nicely brings together my two main passions, radio and computers.
I am the owner of an IT Consultancy & Software Company and along with my friend Callum M0MCX am the Director and joint owner of a Web Design, Hosting and Media business. Check out Callum’s blog here and excellent DX Commander antennas here, it’s well worth a read with many good articles and a specific slant towards antenna experimentation.
I am also the creator of the QSO Director software. A comprehensive logging, contesting and amateur radio operations suite for all platforms. Check it out over at the QSO Director Web Site.
